Return to the Road

For 1 year Christian Roads stood as a Christian email newsletter. After new subscribers came flooding in, we eventually expanded to become an online ezine. After two years of publication, the ezine was closed and we became a magazine for the town of Muhlenberg County in Western Kentucky. Today, after much thought and prayer, I feel that it is time to become all that we ever were, and more. We have been blessed with so many talented writers who have shown interest in writing for CR. So, after much prodding from our Lord, we wish to introduce ourselves anew.

WHO WE ARE

Christian Roads is a mix of writers who wish to share inspiration, hope, and the word of God. We are from many denominations. We approach the bible in a non-denominational manner, believing that God loves us all equally and that Jesus Christ mercifully gave his life on the cross so that we might have hope for salvation and life eternal. We seek to tear down no one, but to build up the community in hopes that we can lead others to Christ. We are friends, family, brothers and sisters. We wish to be all that to you also. We are readily accessible, our various email addresses listed throughout this site, and we welcome feedback, prayer requests, and just a letter now and then if you would just like to talk or seek guidance. We are truly here for you.

WHAT WE OFFER

Friendship, fellowship and love. We just want to feed God's lambs. It's that simple. There is no attempt to drag you into any specific church. We just want to care for and love on you. It's free, and it will make you free.

OVERALL MISSION

Jesus' two main commandments, love your neighbor and love God. That's all that we want to do, and we want to offer that to you also.

In the end, we are simply Christian Writers with a mission from God. We are not paid, we simply do as we are led to do. We take our mission very seriously, and see it as a mission, not a hobby or a pasttime. We offer a lot of services throughout this ezine, and  hope you will browse around and check us out. We promise that you won't be disappointed. So welcome to Christian Roads, come walk with us.

Listing Site Updates

Under one of these subheadings, it's a good idea to list recent updates to my site so that visitors, especially return visitors, can check out the new stuff first. For example, I could list the date and a brief description of the update.

I could also list updated news about my site's topic. For example, if my site were about a particular sport, I'd could discuss the outcome of a recent competition.

Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements

Another idea for my home page's text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site's topic.

Getting Rich Quick--From My Site!

I might not want a large amount of text on my home page if I want to guide visitors toward my other pages. Instead of text, I can add others' buttons to this first page, and I'll be rewarded for people who click on the buttons. For example, if a visitor signs up for a Visa using the NextCard button on my site, I earn at least $20!

Behind the Scenes of My Home Page

Even if I don't put much text on my home page, it's a good idea to include hidden tools that will help me promote my site, so people other than my friends and family actually see it. For example, I could add meta tags, which are hidden codes that allow search engines to find my site. I could also install stats and a counter so I know how many people are visiting. If not many are visiting, submitting my site to search engines will guide more traffic to my site.
